The Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY, Inc. seeks applications for the Summer 2022 Access to Justice Fellowship position. Fellowship applicants must be passionate about advancing the cause of equity and racial justice in their work.
Two to three law students will be selected for the paid fellowship and will work under the close supervision of Volunteer Lawyers Project staff attorneys. Fellows will provide direct representation, assist with client interviews, conduct client intakes, draft court documents and conduct legal research.
The Access to Justice Fellowship recipient will provide support through all Volunteer Lawyers Project programming, including Immigration Law, LGBT Rights, Family Law, Eviction Defense, Consumer Law and Elder Law.
